1950s ceiling fixture by Imperialite

I’m very pleased to offer this stunning Mid-Century ceiling fixture by Imperialite!

Fixtures such as this (with slumped glass shades) were wildly popular in the 1950s.

This fixture is distinctive for several reasons. First, the shade has a wonderful shape: each upper edge has a dramatic sweep. And the colors! Chartreuse! Blue! Pink! Gold! Stunning! I also love the over-scaled finial (I think details such as this are important).

There is a new 3-bulb cluster (and wiring), each socket accepting a 60W bulb.

The fixture is only 5-1/2-inches high (and the shade is a bit over 14-1/2-inches wide).

Wholly restored and with new sockets and wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts three standard base 60W bulbs.
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: See above.

  • I love writing this: there’s no damage.
  • The socket cluster, and wiring, are new.
  • The ceiling mount is aluminum with a brass-like finish. This finish has some subtle scuffing. You would need to be on a ladder to see this.
  • The shade has very subtle manufacturing irregularities (several tiny, tiny dark spots in the glass).

SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
