1920s polychrome chandelier. Gorgeous

I’m very pleased to offer this gorgeous 1920s strap-style chandelier!

This type fixture is called strap-style because it’s made primarily from flat metal bars, like belt straps. What I love about such fixtures is how curvaceous they are. Just lovely to look at. The style was very popular in the 1920s and 1930s, and used in a variety of home styles including bungalows, Arts & Crafts, Spanish-Revival, Colonial-Revival, and Four-squares.

The main color is a brown-ish gold, and with accents of jade and red.

There are long amber glass drops, and a amber glass finial. Lovely.

I particularly like how the sockets dangle from decorative flourishes.

The fixture is not actually restored yet. But it will be shipped fully restored and with all new brown cloth-covered wiring.

Scale-wise, the fixture is 19-inches wide overall, and 30-long (without bulbs). I can remove about 6-inches of chain; I can add chain.

This fixture will be shipped wholly restored and with new wiring, ready to hang, and with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: See above.

  • I love writing this: there’s no damage.
  • The sockets are original (and in fine shape) and will have new wiring and paper insulators.
  • The amber glass drops are new. That the fixture had such drops is confirmed by the tall-tale mounting holes. I choose amber as the color was the most popular in the 1920s.

SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
