1970s Mod chrome chandelier. Likely Lightolier

1 in stock

I’m very pleased to offer this striking chrome circa-1970 5-shade chandelier!

The fixture is mostly chrome-plated. The arms are brushed aluminum.

The shades are particularly striking albeit subtle. When lighted, they throw off wonderful patterns on the walls and ceiling (see last image).

There is a sixth bulb in the center, and this points straight down. There’s a switch on the side to control either the five outer bulbs, the one center bulb, or all six at once.

The fixture is impressive at almost 22-inches wide.

I don’t know who made the chandelier although I strongly suspect it’s by Lightolier due to its quality and design. The fixture is wholly original, save the ceiling canopy, which was missing. The canopy I used is by Lightolier, and is most certainly the type which would have been on the fixture originally. If the fixture does prove by Lightolier, then the canopy may, indeed, be the missing canopy.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs.

COLOR: See above.

SIZE: The fixture hangs down 30-inches and is almost 22-inches wide. I can remove up to 12-inches of chain; I can add chain. The shades are 6-1/2-inches wide.

  • I love writing this: there’s no damage.
  • The sockets and their wiring are original (and in fine shape). The exposed vertical wire is new, and clear plastic as was the original.
