1930s chandelier by Lightolier

I’m very pleased to offer this extraordinary chandelier by the incomparable Lightolier Company!

The fixture accepts a 200W long-necked standard-base bulb. This is largely encased in an aluminum housing.

The housing is pierced by four incredible thick glass Deco flourishes. Yep, wow. Wow! These are just magical when lighted.

The shade hangs from four rods, and has a subtle beige finish. In the center is a highly detailed center cone.

The whole is breathtaking.

The fixture also retains all its original parts, including the chain and ceiling canopy.

To me, a fixture like this should be in a museum. And not just because it retains all its original parts. It’s the quality, too, and design; the fixture is light years away from the kind of lighting made today, and was wholly made in America. Remember that far, far away time when this country actually made stuff? And quality stuff at that? Sigh.

Wholly restored and with a new socket and wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts one standard base long-necked 200W bulb.
COLOR: Aluminum. Very pale beige shade. Clear glass.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 25-inches and is 17-inches wide. I can remove up to 4-inches of chain; I can add chain.

  • All the glass is undamaged.
  • The aluminum has very subtle tonal irregularity. This is common to vintage aluminum.
  • The porcelain socket and cloth-covered wiring are new.

SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
