1920s bronze Spanish Revival chandelier by Midwest

1 in stock

I’m very pleased to offer this striking circa-1930 Spanish-Revival chandelier by Midwest Chandelier Company of Kansas City!

The quality of the fixture is impressive. It’s made almost entirely of cast bronze. Yes! Cast bronze!

The bronze retains its original polychrome finish, and this looks like an old penny. There are subtle accents of red, blue, and black. The fixture is from Midwest’s Cromwell Bronze line.

An extraordinary aspect is that the fixture also retains its original bulb covers. Wow. These clip on over a standard bulb and help diffuse the light. I used LED bulbs (not included). And, well, wow. That the covers are in situ after almost a century is amazing. (You can also use bulbs without the covers.)

I also love the dramatic finials above the socket covers.

Note, too, the original ceiling canopy, and main finial.

All the wiring is new, and cloth-covered like the original. Nice.

The fixture is ideal for a Spanish-Revival house, or Tudor-style. It would also look good in a bungalow.

So, if you’re looking for a truly high-quality fixture with a wow factor, this knock-out may be ideal.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixtures accept standard base 60W bulbs (not included). The bulbs covers are included.
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: The chandelier is 40-inches long and 22-wide (with bulb covers; 20-wide without. I can remove up to 9-inches of chain; I can add chain.
I love writing this: there’s no damage.
The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
The original chain was corroded (this is common). The new chain exactly matches the original.
The polychrome finish is in very good vintage condition with only minor areas of loss and subtle scratches.
