1920s Colonial Revival silver chandelier

1 in stock

I’m very pleased to offer this lovely 1920s Colonial-Revival silver chandelier!

When new, the silver-plating would have been BRIGHT silver. This is now worn to a more subdued tone. There are areas of loss (like on the bottom of the arms) where the underlying brass shows through, and some age spots (mostly on the canopy). The overall effect is quite lovely I think, and elegant, giving the chandelier an attractive vintage presence.

The chandelier is well made, and would have been in the upper end of the price category when new.

The dramatic lines of the sweeping S-shaped arms is just lovely.

I show the chandelier with shades (not included) and without. The effect is very different!

The fixture is also notable in retaining all its original components. The finial, chain, and ceiling canopy are all original.

The chandelier is fully rewired, and the vertical wiring is cloth covered like the original. Nice.

If you have a home in the Colonial-Revival-style, and built in the 1920s or 1930s, this beauty might be ideal.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

  • The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
  • The shades are not included.

COLOR: See above.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 34-inches and is 19-inches wide. With shades, the chandelier look much wider (and would be about 21-wide). I can remove up to 7-inches of chain; I can add chain.

  • I love writing this: there’s no damage.
  • The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators. One socket is new.
  • The candle covers are new.
  • The silver-plating, described above, is in vintage condition.

SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
